Pick & Bow offers free instruction in stringed instruments every Wednesday night at the Center. Instruments are loaned at no cost, so any participant can learn to play regardless of means.

Part of something bigger

Carcassonne joined this regional program in September 2024, extending a tradition that began at Cowan Community Center in 2002. It is carried on in partnership with Hindman Settlement School and Appalshop, keeping Appalachian music alive for a new generation.
